Speedometer / Regearing

If I were to buy new gears for my truck. Would I be able to buy different speedometer gears so that my speedometer still works.

If you don't tell us what your truck is, no one can answer your questions

Yes - Ford sells them for ~$8ea. You'll probably have to do your own math to get the right tooth-counts. Do a few searches - there have been several discussions of it.

Speedometer / Regearing

Hey there strange ranger. Well I did a search and I came up with a perfect find. It was a near exact match to my situation. A 1989 f-150 with a mechanical speedo. changing from 3.08 gears to 3.73 with LT235/75R15 tires when the OEM tires were 215/75R15 .I found I will need a 21 tooth driven gear for my speedometer cable because ford does not have a 22 tooth. Judging from your other advice from the links you definitely know your stuff. Keep up the good work and thanks again.
