speedometer gear[used]

i need the speedometer gear out of a 1987 ford f-150 4 wheel drive transmission. it runs the speedometer. thank you kindly.

You can get speedometer driven gears from the dealer for a couple bucks. You can find the part number you need here: Ford Ranger/BroncoII speedometer gear change/calibration

I have a 87 f-150 4x4 with a C6 auto transmission. My truck uses the yellow 18 tooth gear. It installs into the transfer case.

You need to know your tire size and gear ratio to get the correct gear.

speedometer gear

i had another motor put in 6 months ago. after that my speedometer just wasnt working. it worked fine before that. it hasnt worked since. the reason im late posting my problem is i was in the hospital for awhile having my voice box removed, thanks for the answers on this.
