Does your ride mark it's territory?

My 88 4.6L is dry as a bone at 270,000 miles. The M50D Mazda 5 speed is a different story. It was leaking out of the top case from the 3 rubber caps that plug the shift linkage rods. The rubber will dry rot and/or shrink with time. Rather than replace these leaking caps, I replaced them with press-in freeze plugs from the local auto parts store. They're something like 10 or 12mm plugs. It was pretty easy to do when I had the transmission out to replace the clutch. The top cover can be easily accessed and removed from the cab access panel in the floor too.
