Do stock racks count?
It was probably a cab and chassis.
I hate ALL pickup boxes (just personal opinion). IMHO they are just twice the paint to chip/metal to dent. You can't beat a good looking flatbed.
I am very biased on the subject though, my '72 GMC has an LMC floor the PO installed. It is completely trash.
IMO, these Ford's look bad with a box because they have so much overhang in the back because of the short wheelbase.
When my grandpa bought his '65 F250 4X4 new, he had Fisher Metal Works lengthen the frame one foot and build a flatbed. That truck looks good.
When my other grandpa bought his '66 F250 4X4 new, he just had the same place build a flatbed without lengthening the frame. It looks good, but not as good as the 133" wheelbase.
Both had stock racks too (look kinda odd with them on).

Sorry about the personal rant.
My last truck I had (well still have it) was a flat deck and nothing beat the practicability of it im even considering putting a flat deck on my new truck but my personal preference on the 60s trucks is they look unfinished to me with out one but it does look better than having the "wrong bed" that would have been original if it wasnt a cab and chassis. If it was mine I would put the normal style side box on it for looks because it would never see any hard use anyways... sorry about the way my first post sounded I meant it more as it only needs a box then it would be perfect.
Remember these trucks were built and used before we got all sissified about safety - not that there's anything wrong with being safe...BUT, try heading out to a job or a party with your crew on the flatbed - yep, you'd arrive all by yerself!
I like a box. The Irish say you can't fall off a floor. But I say, you can't fall off a floor with sides!
