U Joints

Just curious what kinda miles you guys are getting out of your U joints? I've never heard of failure before on our trucks. I do plow and tow alot with the truck. I tried removing the front drive shaft the other day and ended up rounding the nuts off the flange there. So sooner or later I gotta do them all. Sorry for posting this here, but I'd rather ask here. No disrespect. Thanks

You are probably gooing to have to heat them with a torch. I have found that most of them have lock tite on them. As soon as it brakes loose , keep a spray bottle with water and keep the yoke cool, dont want to heat up the seal.

I'm thinking the worst and that front diff's gonna have to be torn apart.

I had to replace all my rear u-joints and carrier bearing at around 60k I have 115k now. If I remember right mine had torx bolts or 12 point ones. The bolts where pretty tight at the time. I always re-install with never seize since I'm in the rust belt
