Truck is '84 F150 4X4, 351W, C6. Trying to get it all ready for the bad weather that I know will be here soon.
Crawled under to check transfer case and differentials for fluid level, and check grease fittings on U-joints. Well i can't find any; at least the type I'm used to seeing. Found one grease fitting on the drive shaft at a slip-joint and nothing at the U-joints.
What am I missing here? How do you grease the U-joints on these trucks? Any tips gladly accepted?
It depends on the u-joint installed, but a lot of them didn't have grease fittings. So, if you don't find any yours doesn't have them. As for the slip joint, if you grease it until grease comes out of the splines it'll throw quite a bit of grease as you drive it. If you don't like that then give it a few strokes until you feel some resistance and stop.
