Do you want it to say Ford? Seems like everyone's does and/or did. I was watching an episode of the 90s TV show Renegade and Lorenzo Lamas met Elvis (sorta) who was riding around in a classic truck that said King on the tail gate. If you're not a stocker, and were building a tough street pounder it would be even tougher if it said King on the tail gate. Just a random thought. Most folks like it saying Ford.

On a related note...a guy in our club had an idea to make the script on his tailgate light up as the "third brake light". It kinda piqued my interest since I do some work with plastics. I am looking at casting a mold of the F1 Ford script so that I can make exact copies of the script to apply to other surfaces...maybe even another tailgate. Since the resin is clear it would make a good lens for a light. Haven't worked out the details yet but a lot will depend on what my fellow club member has in mind for his truck.

I still have the tailgate for sale. If you look in the classified section under exterior body parts, location in ohio there are pictures posted. If you can't get there i would be happy to send pictures.
