Snow blower?
Coffee maker?
Blender?
Garage door opener?
Can opener?
Actually if it were me, I'd try turbocharging it, and adapting it into a small, light front wheel drive car to make a hypermiler. If its an industrial engine, it probably won't have much regard for the EPA's witch hunt against all things fuel efficient.
It won't be fast, but the old diesel ford tempos were about 50 Hp and could reach reasonable highway speeds. My electric saturn needs only about 25 Hp to sustain 60 MPH.
Oh, and then run it on waste engine oil (good for a slight power boost).
Ah never mind, you just finished saying no go carts...lol

I say find a rhino or polaris side by side 4x4 with a blown engine or real cheap with loads miles on the motor and make that bad boy fit in there talk about torque and a utility vehicle then you can get a ats turbo and customize up a system think this way once done you could enjoy it or sell it for oodles of cash since it would be only one like it
3400 sounds doable to me though.
