QUESTION? Do you have my answer?

I have a 99 SuperCrew F250 Diesel 4x4. I am thinking of putting my buddies wheels and tires on my truck after I put my leveling kit on. THey are 35x12.50x16.5. One of the tires is a 33" I am having a hard time finding a 35 inch used tire for a 16.5" wheel. I thought about getting another 33" and put the two 35s on back and the 33s on the front. Will that mess up the gears while in 4wd? Has anyone done this with their truck or know anyone that has? This will be temporarily until I get up the money for new tires.

Don't use 4WD if you have diffferent size tires front and back. You will tear up your transfer case. Don't even lock your hubs in.

Well thanks for the responses guys.. i think I have decided to buy a different size wheel because tires are so hard to find for a 16.5" wheel.

I got my leveling kit and my 8"tip put on .. it made a big difference in appearence I think.

Eight. Inch. Tip? I'm quite sure it did indeed make a big difference in appearance.

A LT315/75R16 tire (35x12.5R16) can be mounted on the stock Ford 16x7 wheels however I do not recommend it. A 7" wide wheel is not within the recommended width for a 315/75 tires.(Tire manuf spec) Actually the stock wheels are even a tad too narrow for 285/75R16s (33/10.5R16) as per the tire manufacturers.

I have Dick Cepek FCII 315/75R16 on my stock 2004 7" rims.

The tires have run great, without any problems.

I have a little over 60,000 miles on them, and they have maybe another 8,000-10,000 miles left.

I plan on buying them again.
