Went and picked up a 79 f 250 camper special pickup tonite with the king of front ends the kingpin D60. I showed up sight unseen and snapped her up for a whopping $700.
It was a good score but goes to show they still pop up in rare cases..
p.p.s. wtf is with all of the nice old trucks i'm seeing fron canukistan???? you guys get all the snow and ice like me but more, yet not as much rust, don't use salt or something?
The straps on the body are pretty much just for looks. The guy really wanted to pick the thing up I guess so we rigged it from the two spring perches ,lifted it up then backed the trailer till front tires were on then I jumped in it and he picked up the rear and pushed it on while I steered. The motors a 400 that needs some loving. He says it runs but only when fuel is dumped down the carb. Everything is complete! I'm going to mess around with her today and see what I can do as I just happened to book today off anyway but little hung over.
Last time it was on the road aging was 11 years ago but it was a daily driver.

I'm in the only part of Canada that doesn't get much snow , close to Vancouver. Our winters average around 5 degrees and we usually get 1-2 snowfalls a year and sometimes rare years none. I live in the nicest part of Canada I think for this reason. If I want to snow wheel ,it's just a 45 minute drive up the mountains and it's a sure bet.
must be nice to still get snow and not deal with the rust. been seeing a lot of old trucks on pirate from canada, and they all seem really clean for old work/farm trucks.
