Custom bumper/push bar

I've got a 1982 f150 4x4 that is basically my off road truck, I tend to smash a lot of things, the stock bumper has held up ok, but offers zero protection against the real big stuff and nothing to protect the grille. Anyone have pictures of this era truck with a custom front bumper/brush guard? Would love to get some Ideas for my truck!

LMC Truck sells a small-ish pushbar.....But IIRC, it's a bumper mount....

For the same amount of money, why not simply have one custom made....Out of thicker metal, and made to fit YOUR specifications?

Even a lot of the "off road" bumpers are kind of thin. An old gas cylinders(compressed gases such as oxy/acetylene tanks) make a great place to start, add a clean out near the top to fill it with water when you need extra weight. You can have some heavy gauge tube bent and welded to it for grille/head light protection as well.
