keep getting a weird code

keep getting a weird code
i keep getting code 522 when i scan my truck. the code is vehicle not in park or neutral during koeo. i am not getting any other codes and i always have my tranny in neutral during while testing. truck in sig. all ideas are appreciated.

Don`t know but I would think the interpretation of the code is for an auto trans and the computer has detected an open neutral safety switch.
Maybe clear the code and check again with the clutch pedal depressed during the test.

i actually have my clutch pedal switch jumped so i can start the truck without pressing the clutch down. i didnt see how that could interfere but il try doing the codes again with the clutch pressed down.

That is probably the problem. I would think that at some point during the test the clutch pedal should be depressed and released for the computer to check the NSS. With your NSS jumpered you can`t do that.
I wouldn`t worry about it, only a minor irritation.
