What do you guys think? It is nothing fancy but sure looks better than the rust and badly faded paint it had on it when I got it. I chopped the top off the flatbed, removed the old wood, added new Wheels and 31x10.50 tires, and of coarse the body work and paint.
Still have to finish the interior as I have alreaded painted it and added new floor boards on both sides. Needs carpet, new seat, and some other small things. And I blacked out the headlight buckets and drill insert. Kind of a Gray and Black theme I guess.
So, what ya all think?
Nice looking truck. You did a good job with that flat bed by cutting and painting it. Sharp looking grill too. Did you do the sanding & painting yourself?
By the way, I noticed your truck has Indiana plates, I grew up just across the border in Brookville Ohio.
Yes, did all the body work and paint myself. Yes , she has Indiana plates, I live in Milan, Indiana. It was a blast bringing the ole truck of my dads somewhat back to life. It also has new dual exhaust, new shocks, new brakes, and a new tune up on her. It has a 351M motor, auto trans, and is a 1978 4x4 F-150!
Thanx for looking,

To me, a clean looking rig does alot for my piece of mind. It beats working on what may be a well tuned and dependable rig but look crappy sitting in the driveway.
Looks 100% better, like the other poster said, will even look better with a taller tire. BTW, I used to farm 3-400 acres of vegs so I still have a farmers eye out for countryside, thats fine looking farmland around you.
Thanx for all the kind comments guys. Still have a lot I want to do with her like the tires, I do want 33's on her, but I had these tires so I figured I would make em last this summer.
The old wheels are sold, cousin of mine snatched em right up. But I think I like the new black ones much better with the paint scheme.
The rest of the trim will be put on this week, no race track this time, but the dent trim will be buffed and polished out and the grill frame will be painted to match the body in gray. Still have to buff the body paint and finish the lower panel of gray , it is just primer now. Staying Gray but will be Smoke Gray to match the bed.
I have a huge hide of gray leather and it will be used for the headliner, door panels, dash, and wherever else I can manage to put it to look good.
Thanx for all who commented, after 10 years she will be on the road this summer again!

Love the change to the new rims, and I like how you changed the flatbed up. I think it looks totally different, and much more like what we want to see on this forum! Reps to you dude!
Thanx guys, I never liked the blue and white 2 tone with the racetrack trim. I like the 2 tone much better like this. Any more custom interior pics out there? Thanx to all,

There are a lot more than just these, but this is what came up when I searched. If you make a new thread asking to see custom gauge clusters, you'll get around 40 repsonses within a week and lots of cool photos. Some guys have really put their heart and soul into their trucks when it comes to "custom".... just ask Chasetruck... his entire truck is customized: Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Profile: ChaseTruck754
