Barring permanant sealing, is there any way to keep the wing windows closed tightly enough so that they don't whistle while driving down the road?

i tried putting a shim in between the latch and the window in my 83 f100 but it didnt work. the whisteling drove me nuts so i rtv'ed the whole outer seal. i dont think they are adjustable, at least on my 83. the black rtv doesnt look too bad but i would like to open the window sometimes. but it beats hearing that damn whistel.

Just get some new vent seals, the whistle will go away. Although the ones on your truck may look good and be soft, after time they take on a set and don't fit tight against the window anymore.

Where could I find replacement seals that will fit properly??

Hey SuperCab, are you talking about the latch part? If so I would like to know where to find such an item. You can "E"mail me.
