Connecticut Shops?

Hey all, I spend most of my time in the 80-86 threads, but figure the CT Chapter was a better spot for this question.

Im looking to do an engine & transmission replacement this fall and was hoping to get some help as far as finding a good garage. Ive done all my other repairs and replacements myself so far, but I just plain do have the space or tools from something this big.

Im also considering rebuilding my 302 rather than replacing, so any suggestions on a shop that can do a decent mild performance rebuild would be appreciated as well.

Im in New Hartford (Litchfield County), but would be willing to drive a bit for someone that will do a solid job for an affordable price.

I spent through first or second grade in New Hartford. It exists. Right next to Barkhamsted where my parents are.

I graduated in '97. Somehow ended back here about 4 years go. Would live in Colebrook if I could ever convince the wife it really isnt that far out in the middle of nowhere.
