'97 Ranger "Splash"
How crazy would it be to replace the 6cyl motor, in a 97 Ranger
SPlash Edition, 5dp Manual, with a 4cyl 2300.
My son found the truck, that is in great shape, with a stuck motor. A friend has a 2300 motor for low $$$$,, is this too much effort for the result ?
How big is the parts list for conversion, if even practical ?

Also, a 4 cylinder radiator, fan shroud, fan clutch, radiator hoses, power steering lines
complete with an idle kicker switch in the pressure hose, a/c lines, exhaust system from the engine to the catalyst, clean air tube from the air cleaner to the engine, throttle cable from the pedal to the throttle body and lots of other items too numerous to list. If it was me, I would search for another 6 cylinder engine of the same size as the one that is locked up.
