Welcome back Storm. Whatever became of the Beast? Last I remember you got it back and were doing alot of work to it. I had to get rid of mine, started costing me alot in repairs and the wife said thats enough! Nice truck you got there- good luck with it. I love mine!

It's a Ranch Hand-- I think I may sell it and get a bull bar. I never was fond of the big massive cattle guard things.

As long as you approve I'm happy! I can't have a woman giving me grief for a girly truck LMAO.

I'll tell you this, the 5.4L sound drives me insane-- it's SOOO GOOD!

D8!!! OMG dude long time.

I got it back from my friend who didn't want it anymore-- did a lot of work to it and then I sold it when I bought my Audi. It was picked up by a guy 60 miles away that owns an Electrical company. I see it all the time when I'm around the lake, still looking amazing as always and the new owner is in love with it.

After I saw your truck on here I finally did some research on those Texas Editions and from what I've read, they are base models with a texas plaque. So, now we know. lol. You'll have so much more fun with the FX4. Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Thanks Gal!

Yeah it's pretty much front license plate and some say the really weird looking side-steps but I don't know.

Here's what I have in the works--

ARE LSX Bed Cover
Exhaust (I don't know whether to go with Flowmaster 50's out the rear or cowboy cut corners)
Viper Remote Start Alarm
Tint is being redone (it's crappy)
Taking the Ranch Hand off and putting a bullbar on with two HID off-road lights

I am stoked =)

I REALLY love the 5.4L V8-- it's mean!

Do you got the 5.4? If so, what's your tank like? You get around 400 miles or like 300?

No, I have the 4.6 which I was totally pleased with until I had a guy tell me "Oh, you have the baby V8" - really wanted to tell him to take a flying leap but oh, well... probably jealous . My "baby" engine would still just about any other truck to shame.

And I have the 36 gallon tank - so at full, it says 610 miles. I've been averaging anywhere between 18-22 mpg on different tanks. Really, the only thing that obviously affects the fuel mileage and the manly men here don't ever mention is the a/c. lol. I swear I can see the fuel gauge moving when I'm running the a/c.

Yeah I filled it up and it reads 390 mi to empty.

I imagine that big 5.4L plus 4WD components probably effect it.

I would love to see 18-22 on this truck but I do ALOT of short trips. Hell my office is 10 miles from my house LOL.

Surely it must be a 26 gal tank put that only puts you at about 15, right? Oh, well, mpg doesn't really concern me. lol. Reset it right before you take off from a stand still heading up hill and watch it roll back to about 2 mpg... lol. Yay for power

Storm- I have gotten that on the hiway, according to the lie-o-meter. I got 21.3 for 1.5 hrs last week heading to the NJ beach. Then some around town and back home I avg'ed 17.6ish hand calculated. With a LK and 34" Nittos, and our TurnPike here is 65 so I was doing that plus, maybe 70. I'm pleased with that, much better than the Big D ever got.
I did the Flowmaster, dual out the side in front of the rear tire. Something different, like a Lightning. 40 series 3"SI 2.5"DO. Shes nice and throaty Most guys will try to deter you from the Flowmaster, everyone is in love with Magnaflow and Dynomax, but I just LOVE that 2 chamber Flowmaster sound.
