would this work??

installing a tpms sensor in a pvc pipe and pressurizing it, then zip tie it to the frame somewhere?

To full your warning system? You'll need to put all 4 in there... But if it can hold pressure, I don't see why not.

My understanding is that the sensors need to be spinning in order to transmit the information that the Body Control Module is looking for, so, no it wouldn't work.
The dealer can, using the IDS software, lower the BCM settings. I was told the minimum setting is 50psi, which is what all four of mine were set to, keeping me from having to re-train wheel positions when it comes time to rotate.
I've been running 65 front 55 rear with no more idiot lights since the mechanic did this for me, haven't tried lowering any more than that, yet.

to keep the rear that low you must not haul anything

Empty most of the time, and easy enough to air up with the full size air compressor in my tow hauler.
Try running dirt roads, empty, with 80psi in the rear.
