Hi, everyone!
Does anybody here know the correct light bulb for the ITT underhood work light? I went to the JY yesterday and got a unit that seems to work pretty well (cable pulls out and retracts smoothly, tilt switch works as it should etc.) but it doesn't have a bulb and I can't seem to find one listed in the auto parts store catalogs. BTW, this light doesn't have a bulb cover / lens either. Anyone have an extra they'd like to sell??
Thanks,
Dave

If you don't mind me asking, how much $$$ did you pay for that light? I'm still looking for one for my truck, for a decent price of course.
Thanks, everyone for the replies and assistance! Grubb, I paid a whopping $9.99 at the local pick-a-part junkyard. They had 10 or 12 trucks of our vintage there and the yard guys were setting out a whole new row of full-size trucks that they wouldn't let us get to. They tell me that trucks like ours only stay in the yard for a week or two before being crushed, so I'm planning another trip back there around the middle of July to look for some more bits and pieces. BTW, there was an F150 there with a tan interior that was in AWESOME shape, seat, dash pad, everything. Too bad my truck has a red interior! Anyway, I will be glad to keep an eye out for more of these and snag 'em when I can (along with tool boxes, relay covers, all that funky little stuff that everyone is always asking about). Parts are usually in pretty good shape here (east of Los Angeles) as long as they haven't been baked by the sun. Let me know if ya want me to keep an eye out for something...

Yeah, if you find another one of those lights for $9.99, I'd love to have one.
Oh yeah, and if your dash pad is cracked, you could always get one that's not the same color and dye it to match yours.
Does that stuff really work? (dyeing the dash pad). No prob. I will keep an eye out for more of those lights and PM you if and when I come across one. Several of the trucks I saw at the yard had them at one time but most were gone by the time I went through.
There are two boneyards in my area. One caters to new model vehicles and only has a couple of '80-'86 trucks in the yard. The good thing is that the owner sells the parts for very low prices. The second yard has about 20 bullnose trucks. I looked in most of them and only found one underhood light. It needs a serious cleaning and the lens (sp?) is missing but it works. I took it to the counter and the old boy just said "what the h**l is that?". I started to explain what it was and he just said "son, you can just have that thing". You have to love small towns.

As far as dyeing the interior parts, use the SEM products, they work great ('cause that's what they're made for).
