I have a 1993 dodge dakota i use for my work truck, bought the truck new..it is now using 2 quarts of oil every week and i dont want to put any money into this...gonna drive it til it dies.....I serviced my Ford today, and got to thinking...why not use the old oil in the dodge?????I use rotella T6 sync and change the oil every 5000 miles..this time it wasnt even black yet...I know i could probally go 6-8000 between changes but i like 5000....
can i use the used oil in the gasser??????

I would. Not sure how many miles it's taking you to lose that 2 qts, but it sounds like your Dodge is getting pretty worn out. Your old T6 likely has a lot of additives left and probably has been sheared down a bit as well. Do it to save some cash. You're burning it anyway.

If you use the old oil out of a Ford, the Dodge would have to run better, right? Hell, It might even fix it for you.

nothing wrong with pumping a little Ford blood into the old Dodge. Had a buddy that used to put his used diesel oil in his ranger, along with dumping whatever 2 stroke gas was left over from the weekend out riding into the tank.
