thats fancy, its a little better than the one i made at a truck stop in indiana, i stood there trying to figure out how i was gunna pour from that full gallon of rotella, then i had mes a idea. i cut a peive of card board from an empty bevrage box, rolled it up, and stuck it in the filler neck...worked like a charm
Call me crazy, but I think I'd prefer the older 6.9's. At least on them the filler sticks straight up so you can stick whatever funnel you want in there. Whatever dumb@ss engineer tilted the filler neck on the 7.3's must have been smoking something. I have good sized funnel that goes in, but it lays down on the radiator and is almost level! Have to slowly pour it in.
That does look like a nice funnel Ghetto Joe, but for that price!!! yikes.... I mean it does say snap-on, but $28?? I wonder if soda bottle will screw in there? hmmm I might just go try that!
It's pretty obvious you guys have never had a Diesel VAN
I couldn't imagine how much of a pain it would be to pour oil in a diesel van with the old style straight up filler neck. It would be sticking straight up under the dash. lol
we got that one for honda, one for newer vehicles that have the half turn lock and the toyota one at our shop. they are very nice when you have a 2 qt jug of oil and the filler hole is right above a stupid cover on the inside of the valve cover that only allows a very slow pour with en results of oil usually running all over the motor

Soda bottle,
Thats what I used last time, it doesnt screw in but the threads hold it in place. If you were to cut the bottle at an angle it would work really good.

Shortly after posting I ran out to try it, and found what you described. I think I have a plastic liquor bottle with threads that are larger and might fit nicely. Only problem is its still half full... Although thats not really a problem
I'll try and remember to test it out once its emptied.
The slanted filler works well enough in my van, funnel not required, but it might be nice if I had one handy. I have to pour carefully, but thats the case in almost every engine
