I just picked up a 2007 F150 XL regular cab longbed 4x2 with the 4.2 V6 and auto. Only 9800 miles!! It's a really nice truck, has a bedliner, cruise, air, and CD. It came with a topper, the dealer threw in a soft tonneau. Took it on a 450-mile trip, got 21 mpg! I'll try to post pics this weekend if I get a chance.
9800 miles in nearly 4 years? That's low, real low.
Might want to go ahead and change all the fluids, etc, as it seems that it hasn't had much work. What's the back story on the truck...if you were made aware of it.
Is it a plastic drop-in bed liner? I just took out the one that caome with my used '07. I found a lot of sand, pine needles, acorns and even a bottle cap under it. Also the plastic rubs off the paint of the bed at certain spots.
Might be worth a look under there, especially since almost all the junk is way up just behind the cab.
Congrats. I got an '07 in may with the 4.6 and I put it over 41k miles on the test drive, and I thought that was really low. Got me way beat on MPG. I've only had to fill it up 1 time, and another time i put $30 in it, so I haven't been able to do many mpg calculations, but the one time I did I was getting about 16. Crazy on a 2wd pickup...
Thanks to all. It was a trade, it didn't come from an auction or anything. Everything was clean on the carfax. Driving back and forth to work last week I averaged 18.9, really close to what I was getting with my 2000 3.0L Ranger.
