Which one is the low pressure switch? I jumped the one on the canister. If I remember right without going out to look, there is 2 plugins on the side of the compressor.
Check for power through the high pressure cutoff switch to the clutch. If you are getting power to the clutch (check with multimeter to ensure it is full battery voltage, you may have a bad clutch coil. Those high pressure cut off switches and the pigtails to them have been problematic over the years. Ive bypassed a few of them when I couldnt get appropriate replacement pigtail or pins to repair the connector. There may be high resistance from burned pins in the switch too. (The high pressure switch is the one in the line next to the compressor. Low pressure is the cycling switch on the accumulator)
pigtails to them have been problematic over the years.
Looks like that is the problem!! After plugging it back in after testing voltage, the clutch engaged... so worked for a few minutes before stopping again, moved it a bit and started again.. think I will get new ends for it or squeeze the connectors tighter
