Factory keyless entry code
We just recently purchased a 2001 eddie bauer expedition 4x4 with the big v8. can anyone tell me where to find the factory keyless entry code? Also the blinker on the side mirrors are not working..the binker is not in the glass but on the side of the mirror..does that make since? Any help would be great!!

Hard to tell, you haven't said what's wrong with it. Assuming it doesn't work at all, the previous owner may have disconnected it rather than have the recall work done it to prevent engine compartment fires. Actually when they were first recalled there was a shortage of repair parts so the dealers were disconnecting them. Could be the person never went back after that to have the work done.

it doesnt work at all...i put in the VIN and it doesnt give me any recalls. Can you tell me where to look to see if its been disconected?

ON CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH SPEED CONTROL, THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH MAY OVERHEAT, SMOKE, OR BURN.
Defect Consequence:
A FIRE AT THE SWITCH COULD OCCUR.
Remedy:
BY LETTER DATED SEPTEMBER 12, 2005, OWNERS WERE INSTRUCTED TO RETURN THEIR VEHICLES TO THEIR DEALERS TO HAVE THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH DISCONNECTED.
