4" Straight Piping Help!!!!!!

I need help please. I have an appointment for my truck to go in tomorrow 7-15-2011. I have decided to straight pipe my 2004 f250 6.0L diesel, but after looking at my current exhaust setup I see that my muffler looks like a 6 inch cylinder, and then continues with the 4 inch piping, not oblong like most, so i am thinking that its a glass pack, it currently has a Turbo back 4 inch exhuast sytem. Here's what i need help with... for those of you who have straight piped your trucks with the 6.0L how does it sound, what inch did you use, will it help with anything, or should I just stick with my current aftermarket exhaust setup? I want to make sure that I dont screw anything up, I want my truck to be louder, but if its not going to sound louder than it currently does with the 4 inch system then i wont do the straight pipe, it is pretty loud currently, I just want to rattle windows when I go through town, but not compromise the intergrety or horsepower of the truck or engine. Thanks.
