Power Steering
Ok so my new truck was a great buy but i dont like the way the power steering feels. Kinda gets stiff sometimes. Going to replace the pump. Will a 78-79 pump fit and work? It looks like the mount is the same......

We're not clairvoyant so help us out... what year/model is your rig?
I suggest creating your signature (in the User CP) with the truck's specs... then we wouldn't have to ask what it is and we can respond... and respond faster.

Sorry.lol.... I have a 1974 F250 Standard Cab 4x4, it has a 390 with a 4bbl carb and c6 tranny. New holley carb and off road cam. Custom headers and exaust....

Thanks... that helps a ton. FEs used a Thompson pump (round body with a lil dipstick). 78-79s used a newer style Ford pump and won't bolt-on.
If you do want to use the newer pump, Borgeson just started offering brackets to fit the FE series engines.

Hmm. Thats interesting. I looked and measured my 79 Bronco mounting bracket and pump and it looked like it would fit. Better go look again.
