12v conversion

Anyone know of a link that shows what it needed to convert over a 6v system, keeping most of the original equipment like the generator (re-field it). I cant seem to find a complete step by step write up.

Ross, that was a cool link, how did you do that? but yes. I already googled it and am looking for a comprehensive step by step guide, like 6/12 volts for dummies.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I just talked to a friend who has more experience with wiring and more time and he's going to take on this project for me. I'm going to continue to research things to him him out. I'll keep everyone posted how my 54 turns out.

I think you've misunderstood. Albuq F-1 was talking about "Julie" getting booted. A very long story. Julie was actually a guy.

If you saved Julie's page with photos and diagrams, it would be very worthwhile to PDF it or somehow save it. It wasn't perfect but a good start.
