Regen question

My truck went into regen with 38 miles to empty and the needle almost on the letter "E". I was on the interstate in the middle of no where with no truck stops close at the time and wondered if regen would seriously cut my mileage down to shorten my range. Does Ford have any type of limiter on the regen so it doesn't activate after a specific MTE?

I dunno but I always wonder about this myself. Losing 2-4 miles off of your last gallon can make a big difference.

Every now and then ya just can't help running low on fuel.

I've got down to 1 MTE before and when I filled up I still had 3.5 gallons in the tank. My mpg for the last few tanks was around 14 mpg so that's what it was basing the MTE off of. The next few tanks I was in the 50's for MTE when I filled up. Based on the mpg for that tank full and how many gallons I had left in my tank I really had around 90 miles of range left.

I've just recently started tracking the MTE when fueling. Once I get more data I'll try and figure out a way to get some meaningful information from it. You can take a look at the data by clicking on the link in my signature.
