Hello,
I am working on a 95 f-350 7.5L E4OD. The truck has had a lurching problem for years now and no ford dealership has been able to fix it. I was reading today that a bad solenoid pack can cause this problem (TC lockup solenoid), so i went out and disconnected the 9 pin connector today, started the truck and put it in reverse and the truck didnt miss a beat. I pulled the pan and the solenoid pack and it checked good at 20.4 Ohms for each coil. All the pins look good on the pack and the wiring harness. I am wondering if the pack is really the problem by shorting out for a split second causing the lurching or maybe the solenoid bleeding some pressure. I hate to spend the couple hundred on a pack and not have this fixed!
I think I am finally on to the problem because when the pack is disconnected it runs perfect.
