So I'm working on getting a 93 f-350 with the 7.3l and e4od running, and I found the plug on top of the solenoid pack is melted nearly off. The pins are still good, and the solenoids seem to test fine, so theoretically it would still work fine, but why go through the hassle of not being able to plug it in securely.
So I was curious, I have a 1990 f150 with a 351 that also has an e4od, and I snatched the solenoid pack out of it. I noticed that the 90 has more pins in the top of the plug, so I was curious what kind of comparability issues I might run in to and if I needed to flip wires around in the harness to plug it in correctly.
Does anyone have any thoughts about this?
