F350 Tioga Motorhome Engine WONT start

My engine wont start. It always had to turn over a bit and have the pedal pushed when starting to fire up. Worked consistently but after a few months of sitting it wont start. Tried jumping, swapping batteries, and messing with the inertia switch. When i go to start the engine it clicks and turns but doesnt sound liek its getting any fueld and then the power fades. Help?

And what year?

Take the air cleaner off and open the throttle with your hand as you look down the throat of the carb, you should see two strong streams of gasoline being injected.

BTW the Owner's Manual says to not run the starter motor for more than 45 seconds straight without letting it cool down.

A friend of mine burned out his starter by trying to jump-start it while it had a frozen fuel line.

45 seconds???? Wow that's a little to long. My rule is 20 seconds, and 2 min cool down time.

And that E350 motorhome if it's over 24ft. long, should have a 460.

I just checked, I was wrong, it's actually 30 seconds:

I personally do like you do and go no more than 15-20 seconds.

The main idea I want to get across to people, though, is that one can burn out the starter motor by operating it for too long of a period of time without letting it cool.

Needing help

Hi my name is James my friend has a 1986 Ford F-350 Tioga rv and he has a friend who's a so called mechanic that advised that the rv doesn't need all the vaccum hoses to run...is this true?

Fuel pump failure is the most common problem with that chassis. As suggested above, I would verify fuel delivery at the carb.
