Anyone know what this is?

Anyone know what this is? It is part of the fuel system as far as I can tell. Maybe the filter system?

I believe that is the canister for the EVAP System part of the fuel system.

That could be the pic could be better, it is located on the drivers side inner frame rail just in front of the fuel tank and appears to have a few hoses/lines running to the top of the tank. Thanks for the help.

That is the evap canister. I checked in my 11 factory service manual and there's a nice drawing showing what your pic shows.

Yep, the used to be under the hood on older trucks, but now most have them near the gas tank.
