Cab lights...

Ok, just ordered a set of cab lights and a harness from partsguyed.com.
It's the only option my truck doesn't have that I really wanted.
Now all I have to do is drill holes in my $60k truck!

Its really not that big of a deal, but I know exactly what you mean. Penetrating the paint on such an expensive vehicle is killer.

Having done the job before myself, my only suggestion would be to take measurements off of another truck. It also helps boost the confidence level if you have access to a truck with cab lights while you are laying it out and drilling the holes.

After you get them installed, the next step is smoked recon lenses!

I know how you feel, I've always had cab lights but when I got my truck the dealer screwed up and left them out. I've never had the ***** to go ahead and drill some holes and put them on! Haha. Good luck I'll be watching and maybe it will give me the courage to finally do it.

I downloaded a template i found over in the super duty section. It's not from motoman's madness. I plan on putting up some pics as I go along. I don't have a way to do a video unless Epic wants to come to North Carolina to help me out. Hopefully the lights will ship out today and will be here early next week. Hope to do the install next weekend.

I concur with having Epic video tape it. The fear of drilling holes in my KR has kept me from even investigating the parts.

Now if Epic would rather come to the Seattle area to video tape and assist then I would be willing to drill holes.

(BTW: My picture isn't of my newer current truck.)

For what it's worth, I included cab lights on my truck order but the wife made me take them off. She said only real truckers should have them. I guess I don't rate...

Based on the DOT/NHSTA data Paul from Ford posted and seeing the size of trailer you are hauling, I think you have a legal obligation to install those lights -- not to mention as being the new Francis Ford Copolla, a moral obligation to your fans to make the movie!

Just tell your wife that you are breaking the law! They ALWAYS go for that one.

What am I reading? I thought only real men drove Ford trucks? And here I am reading wuss stories of guys that are too afraid to drill into their trucks.

Add me in to that wuss category
