I'm taking my EMT test on the 20th! Its a national registry test and after I pass (I say that hopefully) I will be certified as an EMT nation wide to save all of your lives! But where I live, its more like certified to drive you to the hospital
But my birthday is the 19th and NREMT (National Registry of EMTs) is the 20th!
So update... I had to reschedule my test because I need 2 forms of govt ID and I only had a drivers license. Since then I have gotten a state ID card, and my test is tomorrow. I should know in 2-3 business days from tomorrow if I passed..
Thanks guys! I was nervous. The testing center is VERY intimidating. Its resembles what a CIA observation room would look like from a movie. I was photographed, IDed any time they lost sight of me and they had to "read my veins" basically a finger print but based on the patters of veins in your palm. Crazy security ever since 9/11.
Also, the test is dynamic, it will change difficulty and number of questions depending on how well you are doing, so there is no way of knowing how well you did. It is a big relief now that I have passed. I will be applying to the 2 volunteer fire depts that are near me, (Santa Paula and Fillmore) because it is hard to get a paid job with no experience these days.
