Congrats Trey... I used to fly Paramedics and EMT's around in helicopters a few years back. Never wanted your Job, I saw enough S&*T as the Pilot, and every flight was hurry hurry hurry! It was super stress! Thank you though, for what you are doing in your life! A very admirable profession!

Thanks! CCN (Critical care nursing), which is what most air medic services are, is VERY intense. I've always wanted to do something more than just the "normal" stuff as an EMT. Eventually I will become a paramedic, but I want to do more! The final goal is Paramedic Firefighter, with a specialty is something unique. Perhaps diving, or tech rescue, wildland, or flight medic.
You mean there is another kind? just kidding! Over 90% of all pilot induced accidents happen with non commercially rated PRIVATE pilots. Most get their license after only 40 or 50 hours of training, and the majority of the accidents happen within a few hours of getting their license.. That is nuts....Commercial training is where you actually learn how to control the aircraft, not just basic flight training. It is where you develop the proper mind set, and skills to save it after you make a mistake..... After all you might as well be able to get payed for what cost you a fortune to learn!
