AIC mod
I did thr AIC mod on my truck today and it works great. I did the one with the two relays and the 5 k pot. Later I saw another post about connecting two wires with a switch activating fords pto circuit and the pcm controls rpm to 1200. I guess the question is why would you build an aic mod with a pot that is basically fooling the pcm into thinking the pedal is pushed instead of using the factory option and leting the pcm control it? I looked under the dash of my truck and there is a wire there that has a factory tag that says for pto circuit. Just wondering you guys know more about it than I do. thanks

I purchased the Ford AIC on bay for $15 (plus shipping). It has the ability to adjust the idle speed to whatever you like, monitors the battery voltage (on the display) and it also displays a warning when the trans temp is too high. (according to the manual...). Haven't really played with it that much yet...
It's much bigger than I expected though....the DIY mod is probably a more flexible unit as far as installation goes. Not sure where I will put the AIC because I have the F650 dash...
