Rust

I have a 2005 F250 SD that has a lot of rust around the rear wheel wells, anyone know if is a common problem.

Yep. You would think after all these years Ford would have figured out the rear fender design on the SD's doesn't work well in the rust belt...

I just noticed a few weeks ago that along with rot on the bottom of my drivers door, now rust bubbles area forming on the rear wheel arches as well. I thought Ford had this problem fixed. Guess not. I have an 02.
