Drive shaft

i have an 02 f-250 SD SCC with a 2 piece drive shaft.
i was wondering if i could put a one piece in it,and if so would this be a good idea? just don't make sense to me to have a 2 piece.
any input?

I'm sure they put the two piece in there for a reason. On longer trucks they put in a 3 piece. I'd guess it is because a longer drive shaft will allow twist and not be as strong.

Why would you want to change it? Is there something about the 2 piece that isn't working?

a one piece driveshaft that long will twist in on itself
the two and three piece driveshaft makes it much stronger for how long it is.
