Duct Tape??
There is also some good stuff at Home Despot and Lowes sold in the cleaning supplies isle I forget the name but it comes in different lfavors in spray pump bottles, you want the tape adhesive and gum remover. Its fairly safe and won't destroy or stain most textiles paints or plastics, our housekeeping dept uses it to remove gum from carpet, I use it to remove all types of labels and tapes.
