disabling door alarm
How do you disable the beeping when the drivers side door is open? I know I could just duct tape it, but I'd rather do it the right way.

Unhook the plug to the buzzer under the dash.

It's real easy..
Open the door to acticate the buzzer/beeper.
Locate the offending box by zeroing in on the sound
Pull the plug attached to it.

It is a little silver metal or white plastic box right beside the steering column on the passenger side of the column.

It is the easiest thing I have ever done to my truck. Easier than driving through the car wash.
Just track down the sound and unplug. Takes about thirty seconds.

Easiest was re-connecting it
Previous owner disconnected the buzzer in my '89 F150.

I have a damn habit of doing a quick 'look-back' whenever I park. Especially during the day, when I go thru the tunnel back and forth to work...(I hit my lites so my black truck shows up in the dark/drab tunnel.)

I have a gauges mounted on my pillar and I always notice the light coming out them as I'm getting out of the truck and it reminds me they're still on.

But then again, ya play it cool and say, 'they'll go off in a minute'. Then run out after a minute and smack the ****...
