the line limits the distance the light travels it's very destinct in a wall but when driving you can see the light just stops black line in the road.
Hate it.
Try aiming them up a bit. The other thing you can do is the 9005 fog light mod. I've done this on several of my trucks and love it! The fogs throw the light well, and don't seem to bother the on-coming traffic. With the 9005's in the fog lights you hardly even need the headlights.

9005 65 watt high beam bulbs in the fog lights. The bulbs fit perfectly, 9006 bulbs will work too, but wont be as bright. The factory fog light pig tails also plug right into the 9005/6 bulbs. I automatically install a relay as the factory wiring to the fog lights is teeny tiny.
I don't like the light pattern either. It doesn't project far enough nor wide enough. We are on deer collision #3 out in the country where we live. I just got one with my wifes new van on new years night. $7000 repair. These lights are just dull. I need to see out in the fields and up ahead. I don't really want to aim them up in peoples eyes either. I could only find one adjuster screw on the headlights, so I don't know how much of a comprimise that is gonna be. I can't mount a light bar because of the snowplow. I might try the 9005 idea. Or has someone put a replacement light in the fog spot?
I was actually think about a rigid lightbar. How is yours mounted? I can't tell because the lights are shining in my eyes, can you turn them off? As bad as my lights are, I am tempted to mount one on the hood.

If you can afford a RIGID lightbar then you can afford to have the entire graduating class of 2012 MIT engineering school design and build the mount for you...out of solid gold.
