I change my oil when the info center reminder pops up. I have averaged 7000 miles between changes.

nope we don't like to buy "foreign" bridges here. we buy Canadian.well if in your world, your personal experiences plus your conversations with 10ish out of 250,000 owners is a good quality sampling to decide that this engine is a grotesque failure, have at it. in the meantime i will look for a little larger, better quality of sampling to make my choices on.

"I am in Canada as well, bought my truck in the end of november, engine light has been on since 1500kms and I am now at 32000kms.I have had this truck into the dealer so many times I have lost count and I don't get out of the parking lot before the light is back on. I just keep getting told they have to wait for a fix from ford??? The truck lacks power and the mileage isn't that great and I am assuming that is because of the cel,but since the light has been on pretty much since I have had the truck I really have no comparison.I am so frustrated with it that I am contemplating trading it (at a huge loss) on a different brand." FYI number 11and counting The truck has issues and those of you that choose to ignore them no problem however we with problem trucks will believe our actual experiences with the truck. PS glad you got a good one!!!!

hey you know that sounds like my 03 was for me, except no matter how crappy it ran. it only once in three years set a check engine light, and that was a soft code light. you certainly have my sympathies. the only thing i ever objected to was understanding you to suggest that there were massive numbers of these engines not going right. remember though, even a competent ford tech may not be a competent 6.7 tech seems like some of the comeback issues relate to owners fixating on a dealership and not looking for a better more knowledgeable tech. me i just wish i could move up to 11-12 but my wifey/accountant says the 05 is running great and don't need 5 more years of payments. gonna see though if i can weasel in some tuning =)

Hey Nitro that quote was from one of your Canadian brothers...Just goes to show the 6.7 problems cross the borders too. PS never said there were "massive numbers" only more than .000016...

You nailed it! Going back to the same dealer for the same issue that they could not resolve is like marrying your ex-wife and expecting different results.

I'm sure you'll sell it for a good price.

Zero issues here with the 6.7. As to the earlier suggested 40% failure rate, 40% of zero is still zero!

that bridge would that be US dollars or Canadian teehee. it is hard to stay objective about the truck when you feel you have a stinker and they are not curing it
