A little more detail as to what your considering. Not quite sure I understand what you want to buy.

I think he means the interior paded panels that go around the window crank/door handle. I'm guessing that's it because the black ones are considerably cheaper than other colors.

If your refering to the panels that go where the window crank is. I'm sorry I can't offer any good or bad comments. When I get to do mine, it will be with the whole door custom job.

If my memory serves me (and frequently it doesn't), this was a hot topic a few months ago when a guy from Australia got some from (maybe) MAC's, and was unhappy with them. I believe the consensus was that no matter where you bought these Custom Cab door panels, and besides MAC's there are several other sellers, including LMC, there is really only one manufacturer of these panels and the quality of them might not make some people happy. There were varying degrees of satisfaction (or dissatisfation) among those who had purchased them.

Seems like that's the story with almost all the parts now. That doesn't bother me as much as the fact that almost none of them are made in America. But it changes the game a little and makes price about the only consideration other than service after the sale.

I just dont want to expect to see them as brittle as when my old ones came off, (in pieces). i'd like to see a little flex play in them. I would think that my old ones got brittle over a long time and racked with age. I dont want to go with replacements if they are just going to be as bad as the old one in the flexability department, know what i mean? if thats the case I may just make some custom ones and buy the wife a sewing machine.

Purchased from just about every Ford part supplier and found there are certain items I will only purchase from a particular supplier; i.e., will only purchase weatherstirp, gaskets, and seals from D.C.. Learned not to toss a part I intend to replace until the project is complete, can't count the number of times I went back and had to remove a component that was not included on the replacement. Also learned some suppliers carry generic components that will cover a number of yr. trucks and found it best to order the item more specific to your yr. truck, usually more expensive, learned this by ending up tossing set of radiator support bushings, and door seal. With regards to the door panels, suspect they may come from same supplier then it's a matter which supplier has the better price.

door panels

what i remember was that the new panels are thicker than the orginals were they go into the trim. you will have to sand down to fit into the trim.
