This one was so big, it made me wonder if it was a moose. I don't think there are any down here though. It was in velvet.
Hey Chris, have you ever gotten a permit? I've heard they are loosening up on permits now.
Hell no. Every year since the late 80's I put in. I have the 7 points you can accumulate but no love yet.
I can't find it right now, but we have a picture of a Moose we saw in Ontanogan County. We like to take a week if we can and go to Lake Gogebic perch and walleye fishing every summer. We usually stay around the north end in the Bergland area. We took some "beverages" and went for a ride one afternoon and Liz took ten years off my life when she screamed at seeing the moose.
If you want to see bear, come to TC. Last week a 400 pound bear was tranquilized in a downtown neighborhood and a 300 lb bear was hit by a car on West Silver Lake Rd. Probably can still see the video on the local news website.
My parents live in Mesick and the year before last, my dad saw 17 bears around the house on different occasions. This year there have been several sightings by the sand dunes and south to the manistee area.
got lots of deer here in back yard. wish I had some bear, moose and other stuff. can`t get better half to move out to the great out door areas. not a country girl oh well I guess I will just have to live with it.
It's north of Marquette Pat. Along the lake to the town of Big Bay. They made a movie there in the early 50's I think called Anatomy of a Murder. I just got off the phone from a 45 minute interview.
To add to what Pat was saying, yes things are proceeding with the logo/sticker. I was playing text wars with several people today, and a couple of middle men.
I wont say anything about price just yet, but as far as I'm concerned what was presented to me was very reasonable.
Hey Tim(CC),Traverse City has all the comforts of a big town, with miles of state land within 10 minutes of just about everything. Rich has been to my house. Its 2.5 miles from Menards, still too far out in the boonies for my wife.

There are bears in Monroe.
I'm looking at two right now in my livingroom, along with a Elk, Carabou, a few Whitetails, Wild boar, Texas Dull, and a Coyote.
