rod bearings
i am replacing rod bearings in my 79 bronco. It has a 351m. I have the motor pulled and on a stand. Im really just wanting to replace the rod bearings. This is just my mud truck. Any guidance on replacing them. I was afraid the crank wasnt good cause one bearing wasnt even there. but crank is good.

If it ran without a bearing shell, the crank is probably junk or will need to be welded up and machined.

Ya im sure it ran a lil bit with it out. It was knocking pretty bad. Im not sure wat i want to do yet. I know where another running 351m is at for 200 and if i get it i would like to build the old motor up and have it for a spare. The way you guys talk makes me worried bout the crank now. o well got to take it apart and find out
