Don't forget to provide some kind of protection for the wire where it passes through the roof to ensure the rough edge of the metal doesn't cut the wire. Several ways to do that, inc rubber grommets, plastic bushings, or plastic "caterpillars" - u-shaped pieces that can be cut to length and put around the edges of the hole.
