HELP!!!!!!! AUTOMATIC START AND CAB LIGHTS

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 03-Dec-02 AT 11:14 AM (EST)]Has anyone put cab lights on their X , I have a 2003 / X PSD (TO DO AND NOT TO DO), and I wanted to install a automatic start in the truck. The Ford dealer warns me not to, he says the module that transmits the signal to the chip in the key has at times been known not to work ( not starting the truck). Is this true.

HELP!!!!!!! AUTOMATIC START AND CAB LIGHTS

I have been tossin the idea around about putting clearance lights on my Excursion. I think i have to see one with the lights before i make the final decision.

As far as auto-starts go , their is no reason you should NOT put one on your truck.I have had one on mine for almost a year now , and not had one problem. It is nice to wake up - have it be 20 below outside , and be able to start your truck , so by the time you get to it , you have heat blowing outta the vents...Best thing i ever did to the truck was put a autostart on it..........

I too want the roof mounted lights and have been waiting for someone to post a picture of there's on a "X". If I don't see one soon I might just take mine over to the local body shop and tell them to install them. The lights are like thirty bucks for the five lights but still searching the price for the harness. They sell after market clear covers with the colored bulbs that looks real cool on the pick-ups. keep your eyes open for a pic.

HELP!!!!!!! AUTOMATIC START AND CAB LIGHTS

I finally had them put on my X, and they look great. It took the teck two hours to install. They charged me $150.00 and now I know why, It wasn't easy. I got the same ones that are on the H. D. . I also had them install rear fog lights, with a switch in the front dash above the fuse box panel. It help at night, especially if you windows are tinted dark. I think I am going to install the start next.:-X12

HELP!!!!!!! AUTOMATIC START AND CAB LIGHTS

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Dec-02 AT 02:37 PM (EST)]I wanted the dealer to, but they referred me to another company that did conversion vans and SUV. Go figure, Happy Holidays.

P.S. When the weather clears up I will take photo's. But believe me they look sharp, like a HD with a cap on it.
