Cooper has come out with a new tire, Discoverer ST Maxx, I would have gotten them for my truck but they don't make them for 20" wheels yet.
Now you guys got me scared, I've heard nothing but good about the Goodyear Duratrac's, now that I bought a set for my truck, I hear all the bad. And for what they cost, they better hold up!! I guess we'll see how they do. I'm not too concerned because the shop I bought them from is great to work with, plus I purchased the most expensive tires he's ever sold... I don't know if that's something to be proud of or not.?
Not to scare you any more, but here is a shot of a 1,300 mile Duratrac that was under my buddy's '02 F350. Had a cab over camper in the back running 40mph when it let loose.
Pretty sure as long as you're not towing or running a slide in you'll be good.
Wow.. looks like the sidewall blew. At least it didn't tear up his fender. Did Goodyear bother to even test these tires before selling them? Glad I went with the BFG Rugged Terrains.

He did say it was the sidewall that blew. Also cracked the wheel too.
Funny about the fender. My grandfather hated Firestones. Laughed when my dad put a set on an old F150 we had. Grandpa was still laughing the day the tread peeled right off the SOB grabbing the fender support brace and widening that wheel well without dad's approval.
Kinda surprised no one mentioned Firestone Transforce AT's. Of course, with the sizes I've seen posted, I'm not sure they offer them. I'll be replacing the rear 4 with them. Warranty is a large part of it. Not many tires offer a warranty for commercial. Fronts are good to go.
Oops, the transforce doesn't offer a warranty. It was the BFG Commercial T/A's that have the commercial warranty. If anybody has any experience with the transforce AT's I'd like some input. My dually has them all the way around. I suspect they've been replaced on the front since the rears were replaced. Fronts look new, rears look like drag slicks. I've put about 10k on the truck since buying it and can't see any wear on the fronts. I'm ashamed to say that the rears were about the same as they are now. Tread is visible... if you look hard enough.
