Before you set the entire neighborhood on fire check with a farm feed store or your RM office..or try Google for an answer.

I am sure that there are lots of insecticides that will kill ticks (like mentioned - google). There are a few problems - insecticides are usually non-selective in that they kill lots of good bugs too. There are issues like re-entry periods after spraying to contend with as well as proper gear to prevent inhilation.
One other thing to note is the insect life cycle - they keep coming so a spraying isnt a one shot deal!

Science lesson adjourned

I would try to get someone to keep the grass trimmed, it will work.

Warren nailed it though, it will take multiple shots of spray to keep em gone!

I guess it`s better than letting them go unchecked, eventually spraying should help to keep the numbers down.

With acres of trees and acres of grass I`m pressed to just keep up with cutting the grass with all this rain the last two years.

Yeah I'm starting the 7th time this year. Usually it is only 3 or 4times a year at my place. By August it has started to let up.
