How to remove dent?

I'm thinking about buying a 1986 Ford ranger but there is some damage but the engine and transmission are great

I have a couple questions... First thing that I wanted to ask was, How would I remove a dent on a 1986 Ford Ranger? The dent is on the left side of the bed, its a good size dent.

Some other things that are damaged are the grill, right fender and tailgate... any suggestions on how I could replace these... I'm 17 and I really don't want to go buy new parts. I am going to go to a pick and pull in a couple of weeks to see if they have anything.

Well the dent in the bed is easy if your high school have a metal shop, Becasue one ford they have double wall beds, so what you do is cut in the inside of the bed to expose the dent the just punch it out then tack weld the plate back on and bondo it to smooth it out, or if its the right size dint use a sucker cup, but iv neve had any luck with those, and thats just the cheap way how to do it. Same gos for the other dents unless you can get ur hand or hammer up under neath it same try to punch it out

Yeah, like what iv done was get your hand in there and try to make a fist to push out that dent, or wedge a round hammer in there and give it a wack, Now im now body repair guy but this is what i do to get my dents out from wheeling. And there not going to fully come out but you can give it you best shot to, and it wont look as bad,, Your just goin to have to mess around with it and see what you can do as far as pushing them dents out

Popping out a dent

If you can, find an old football, deflate it, insert it where the dent is, and then pump air back in slowly. Some dents can be pushed back out from the inside. If it's too stubborn, you may have to opt for the tack weld with a rod and pull or drilling small holes to thread a nut and threaded rod through. You'll need filler on the drill option, but it could present you and opportunity to loop line through a pair of holes.

Good luck on the repair!
